Workshop "Applying CNC Controllers in Industrial Manufacturing and Education" at Duy Tan University

On May 28, 2022, the Faculty of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – School of Technology at Duy Tan University partnered with businesses to hold the workshop "Applying CNC Controllers in Industrial Manufacturing and Education". The workshop was attended by representatives of QS Technology Engineering Co., Ltd and MECCOM Co., Ltd, leaders of the STEM&FAP practice lab, and a large audience of lecturers and students from the two faculties of the School of Technology at Duy Tan University.

At the workshop, company representatives introduced students to CNC controller fundamentals, practical applications in industrial manufacturing, and the products built around the CNC controllers they manufacture and distribute. Mr. Tran Hoang Giang – representing QS Technology, a company that designs controllers for CNC machines from 3 to 8 axes with products distributed in over 20 countries worldwide – proposed ideas to raise the quality of CNC technology teaching at the Faculties of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering of the School of Technology.

Also at the workshop, the speakers and company representatives donated sample CNC controllers and committed to providing guidance, warranty, and installation support for this equipment to serve teaching in related disciplines at Duy Tan University.
